Lisa Lindberg Coaching & Career Guidance is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Ireland’s Data Protection Act 2018.

This policy applies to all clients: minors (aged 16–18), adult individuals, third-level students, and employees receiving coaching through their employer.

1. Data Controller

Lisa Lindberg is the Data Controller for all personal data collected through coaching, career guidance, and assessment services.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect personal data relevant to the services you request. This may include:

  • Name, age, and contact details

  • Education level or class

  • Session notes and guidance records

  • Psychometric test results (via third-party tools)

  • Digital signatures (for consent forms or agreements)

  • Parent/guardian details (for under-18 clients)

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

  • To provide tailored coaching or guidance services

  • To administer psychometric assessments

  • To communicate with you or your parent/guardian (if under 18)

  • To meet legal and safeguarding obligations

Our lawful bases include:

  • Contract (service delivery)

  • Consent (especially for minors or assessments)

  • Legitimate interest (record keeping and safety)

  • Legal obligation (e.g. child protection)

4. Clients Under 18

If you are under 18, services require written parental or guardian consent.

Session content is kept confidential between the young person and coach, unless:

  • There is a safeguarding concern, or

  • Both parties agree to share information

Psychometric testing for minors is optional and conducted only with explicit parental consent.

5. Psychometric Testing

Assessments (e.g. Morrisby, MyFutureChoice) may be used to support guidance.

These are administered via third-party GDPR-compliant platforms. We receive and store only the results/reports. Your responses are handled in accordance with the platform’s own privacy policy.

6. Data Storage and Security

Records may be stored:

  • On encrypted local devices, or

  • In secure cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive)

Access is restricted to Lisa Lindberg and is protected by passwords and encryption. Paper forms are stored securely in locked storage.

7. Corporate Coaching Clients

If you receive coaching funded by your employer:

  • Your personal coaching data remains confidential

  • No session content or test results are shared with your employer without your written consent

  • Your employer may receive limited updates (e.g. attendance), but no personal insights unless agreed in writing

8. How Long We Keep Data

  • Adults: up to 7 years after final session

  • Under-18s: until age 25

  • Financial or administrative records may be held longer if required by law

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request deletion (subject to legal limits)

  • Withdraw consent at any time

  • Lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission
